JOB PURPOSE:
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the development of a vibrant farm. Our farm will model sustainable agriculture techniques; offer training, land leasing, marketing, and other resources for farmers; provide aggregation infrastructure and access to regional markets; strengthen relationships between producers and consumers; and feature opportunities to engage community members, students,
and tourists in farm activities and workshops. The agricultural specialist will have a direct impact on the food and the farm – an area known for scenic beauty, outdoor adventure, and a commitment to sustainable economic development.
ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for planning, organization, and direction of the farm operations and programs.
• Execute the daily administration of the farm and the operation of equipment, technology and facilities.
• Provide agronomic knowledge and insight to the management team through field scouting, soil testing and analysis.
• Develop recommendations for soil health to increase the productivity of the farm.
• Plant, cultivate and harvest crops by hand or equipment.
• Create and implement annual crop plan
• Updating and organizing crop lists
• Organizing time schedules and calendars for propagation, cultivation, field work
• Field spacing, layout, and crop rotation plan for indoor and outdoor growing
• Purchasing seeds according to seasonal needs
• Creating weekly and daily task lists for team
• Record keeping for production, field work, fertility management
• Work to improve farm’s ability to grow high quality food
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee the staffing, management, and retention of all farm employees—seasonal workers and interns.
• Lead internal employee communication efforts regarding farm maintenance
• Communicate and educate farm employees of the farm’s culture, policies
and practices.
• Oversees the hiring process and perform employee orientation prior to start date.
• Maintain attendance and PTO tracking systems.
• Manage human resources policy development, administration and provide team support during client events.
• Additional duties as requested by owner.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Communication: The ability to communicate information well (both written and spoken)
is highly desired.
• Detail Oriented: All procedures and policies must be understood and followed.
• Critical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking.
• Autonomous: An independent individual who is self-motivating and needs little supervision.
• Agriculture Experience: Previous internship and/or co-op experience related to
Agriculture is preferred but not required.
• Crop Production Experience: Familiarity with working on a farm and growing crops is preferred but not required.
• Confidence: Not afraid to ask bold questions and be curious.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in the role
• Ability to work outdoors in a hot and humid environment
• Proficient in MS Office
• Valid driver’s license
• Satisfactory background check and drug screen
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Plant Science, Horticulture, Agronomics or relevant field is desired.
• 1-2 years of agricultural or livestock management experience in an operational environment

POSITION: PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

JOB PURPOSE:
The pharmacy technician shall perform pharmaceutical dispensing duties including filling new outpatient prescriptions, refilling prescriptions, and entering orders into databases and other directives of management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform pharmaceutical dispensing duties including filling new outpatient prescriptions, refilling prescriptions, and entering orders into databases.
· Input outpatient prescriptions and any other drug orders. Interpret prescriptions and formulas for appropriateness, to include content, dosage, completeness, compatibility, and conformity with established guidelines.
· Perform common pharmaceutical calculations.
· Print labels and drug filing lists.
· Prepare, package, and label prescriptions and drug orders to include extemporaneous compounds. Completed prescriptions are subject to internal pharmacy quality control.
· File completed prescriptions.
· Dispense medications and supplies to patients and clinics.
· Perform information consultation duties including supporting new and refill prescriptions, supporting patient requests, supporting physician’s requests, monitoring for drug interactions, and reporting adverse drug reactions.
· Review patients’ computerized drug profiles and adhere to pharmacy policy/operating instructions when discrepancies are found.
· Confer with prescribers or patient on questions about the prescription.
· During dispensing, counsel patients on proper use of medication and provide technical drug information to patients commensurate with level of responsibility/training.
· Perform quality improvement duties including performing drug storage inspections, reviewing expire supplies, and producing error and workload reports and documentation.
· Recognize typical properties of pharmaceuticals such as color, chemical, or consistency, and reports discrepancies to pharmacist.
· Completes medical record documentation and coding, and designated tracking logs and data reporting
· Attend and participate in professional staff conferences and other appropriate professional activities.
· Cleans pharmacy equipment and facilities as required by pharmacy management.
· Perform supply process duties including placing new orders, stocking/restocking shelves, inventory maintenance, producing not-in-stock reports.
· Confers with facility staff on drug storage and expiration.
· Completes all required electronic medical record training, MTF-specific orientation and training programs.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS.
· Graduate from a formal pharmacy technician program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) or a formal pharmacy technician program (i.e., technical hospital, or retail-based program), or a formal medical services training program of the United States Military.
· A minimum of 1 year as a pharmacy technician.
· Must be certified by a National Certification.
· Knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in use of basic word processing, data entry and automated medical records. Proficient in operation of standard office equipment, such as personal computers, copiers, fax machines, and telephone systems.
· Knowledge of medical privacy and confidentiality (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act [HIPAA]), and The Joint Commission (TJC), and the Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs).
· Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
· Must be skillful and tactful in communicating with people who may be physically or mentally ill, uncooperative, fearful, emotionally distraught, and occasionally dangerous.
· Must have knowledge and experience, or demonstrate comprehension during training, with software and databases currently employed at the MTF (e.g. Microsoft Office, Access, Excel and PowerPoint; Medical Health System’s (MHS) Genesis. Must possess knowledge, skills and computer program literacy to collect and analyze data.
· Must have knowledge and experience in Patient Advocacy, Patient Privacy, and Customer Relations.
· Must possess organization, problem-solving and communication skills to articulate medical requirements to patients, families/care givers, medical and non-medical staff in a professional and courteous way.
· Must be present and available to participate in pharmacy duties.
· Must demonstrate teamwork and self-initiation in accomplishing the pharmacy mission.
· Must demonstrate competence in operation accuracy and efficiency comparable to peers.
· Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD), Federal, State, non-profit healthcare systems and organizations, to include DoD Tri-Service Military Healthcare Systems, TRICARE purchased care system, Medicare, Medicaid and the Veterans Administration (VA) is desired.
